PIPELINE CUPS & DISCS
There are many types of pipeline cups and discs. We manufacture a variety such as standard, flex, conical, Solid Urethane Disc (S.U.D.) pigs, etc. However, all of these products are manufactured from these basic materials:
- Standard Polyurethane cups and discs are generally colored green and are 75 to 80 duro.
- Premium Polyurethane cups and discs are generally colored blue and are formulated for extreme abrasion and solvent resistance. They are also 75 to 80 duro. All of our conical cups are yellow in color. We do, however, supply different colors for specific customer requirements, if needed.
- Standard Neoprene cups and discs are always black because of specific compound requirements. Most of these are 65 to 70 duro because of physical properties required.
Keep in mind the fact that polyurethane has superior oil and abrasion resistance over neoprene. Neoprene is used because it has superior hot water, chemical resistance and high temperature resistance. Neoprene can be used continuously at 260 degrees and intermittently at 280 degrees F. We do not recommend any polyurethane products to be used above 160 degrees F.
